Group accomodation in the "Chalet"
The “chalet” is destined for groups of young people or families with children,
who intend to experiment monastic life by attending the prayers with the monk community.
It has been laid out in 3 floors to accommodate different types of groups.
Meeting rooms, dormitories, bedrooms, studio apartments and kitchens can be hired according to your needs.
The prices depend on the type of room and are calculated per night. You are supposed to choose the places you rent according to the number of participants and their budget. In this way you can see the amount of your stay. The prices have been fixed rather low to enable any guest to afford a stay in Orval.
Main floor
On the first floor: a spacious meeting room, a large fully-equipped kitchen, a 16-bed-dormitory, a large bathroom (toilets and washbasins, sorry no showers there).

Ground floor
On the ground floor: four 8-bed-dormitories, 2 fully-equipped kitchens, 2 bathrooms (toilets, washbasins and showers), a meeting-room, a studio apartment with 2 beds and a bedroom for 2. To be noted: it can be divided into 2 independent parts.

In the basement: a studio apartment for 1 person, a bedroom for 4, toilets and showers.
On the plan, you can see all the locations can be reached directly from outside.

After receiving your booking (see email address further) we will send you a hiring contract, which you will send us back completed and signed. At your arrival we will communicate the place rules.
Sorry no pets and no smoking.
Before leaving you are supposed to clean the place, if not, we will charge the cleaning costs.
Pillows and blankets are provided but linen and (kitchen and bath) towels are not, as well as additional garbage bags.
Food supply must be brought by the guests (fridge in every location), the neighbour town Florenville, is 8 kms / 10 miles far (www.semois-tourisme.be), beer and cheese can be bought in the abbey shop.
